Analysis
At Conycal Laboratory we have know-how in the field of legionella microbiology and its consequences in case of occurrence (Pontiac fever and legionellosis).
Pioneering laboratory in Spain with ENAC ISO 17025 accreditation for legionella analysis under the ISO 11731 standard, as established by Royal Decree 865/2003, of 4 July, which establishes the health and hygiene criteria for the prevention and control of legionellosis.
All personnel working in hygienic-sanitary maintenance operations, whether they belong to a contracted external entity or service or are the facility's own personnel, must take the courses approved for this purpose by the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs at the proposal of the corresponding Autonomous Communities, in accordance with Order SCO/317/2003, of 7 February, which regulates the procedure for the approval of training courses for personnel carrying out hygienic-sanitary maintenance operations at the facilities covered by the Royal Decree.

Laboratorio Conycal has approved these courses for several years in various autonomous communities, having given more than fifty editions in different parts of the country.
We give these courses openly (i.e. for anyone interested) or at the company's facilities if the company wants to train all its maintenance personnel.
DURATION AND OFFICIAL QUALIFICATION
There are two types of training, which will be developed following an entirely face-to-face methodology. The complete training, which has a total duration of 25 hours, which will be spread over 5 days from 16 to 21h, and the "renewal" training course, which will have a duration of 10 hours (aimed at those who have already completed the complete training and need to update their skills).
In order to enrol, you will need to be at least 16 years old and, at the end, you will receive an official qualification recognised by the Regional Ministry of Health of the Autonomous Community.
WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
All personnel dedicated to carrying out hygienic-sanitary maintenance operations of the facilities subject to RD 487/2022, must have the necessary training, aimed at providing knowledge on the biology and ecology of bacteria, the appropriate prevention and control mechanisms, as well as the handling of chemical products and the risks they entail, and their prevention:
- Maintenance technicians
- Companies involved in the treatment of Legionellosis
- Quality technicians and personnel from private companies responsible for the maintenance of towers and water supply networks.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
By studying the proposed contents, you will be trained in the legislative field of Legionella, and you will learn how to clean and disinfect cooling towers, evaporative condensers and other air conditioning systems against Legionella. In addition, you will be trained in the maintenance of sanitary water installations for the prevention of Legionnaires' disease, among other practices.
